Full scope OMFS practice with three other full-time ABOMS Certified surgeons providing in & outpatient care to a population of ~250,000. Treatment provided includes dentoalveolar surgery; orthognathic, maxillofacial trauma, alveolar cleft, CO2 LASER and Nobel-BiocareÔ implant surgery; outpatient ambulatory general anesthesia and sedation, oral medicine and pathology services. (Full admitting + H&P privileges, bone and soft tissue graft harvesting; management of virtually all maxillofacial trauma at our health center.)

Responsibilities also include frequent lecture/seminar presentations for dentists and specialists, therapists and visiting dental students. Chairman Credentials and Privileges Committee, Specialty Quality Care Team, JCIA (Joint Commission International Accreditation) Preparation Team, Process Improvement Committee; member Specialty Selection and New-Hire Dentist Committees, Operating Room and Radiation Protection Committees, Implant and Cleft Palate Teams.

For 3 years (2000-2003) approximately 60% time devoted to administrative functions, managing 38-chair operation delivering full scope dental, specialty and hygiene services. Responsible for staff of 12 general dentists, 17 specialists, 12 hygienists, 4 nurses & 2 secretaries. 40% time devoted to clinical practice as described above.
